For 2026, the City of Brampton requires all rides to end at Designated Parking Zones!

SCOOTY has more than 950 Designated Parking Zones across Brampton, so there should be one very close to you.

Be sure to check the SCOOTY app in your area where you're riding to find the nearest Mandatory Parking Zone to your end destination!

If you want us to a parking zone let us know and we'll look into it!

By parking in Designated Parking Zones, you save money and avoid penalties, help keep the city organized and make micromobility easier for everyone.

Dates to Watch

  • May 1st: Non-compliance parking fee increases from $1 to $3
  • May 7th: Priority Parking Zones expand across Brampton until June 11th (see "Phased Rollout Across Brampton" below for dates and see the map to find your ward)
  • May 22nd: Non-compliance parking fee increases from $3 to $5
  • June 11th: Mandatory Designated Parking applies across Brampton; Non-compliance parking fee replaced by Parking Penalty system

Mandatory Parking Zones (purple)

Mandatory Parking Zones are areas where parking in Designated Parking Zones is MANDATORY. If you do not park in a Designated Parking Zone you will not be able to end your ride.

If you enter a purple zone, your vehicle will need to be parking at a designated parking zone (marked blue). The trip won’t end unless you’re parked at one of the designated parking zones within the mandatory parking zone.

FAQ

1. What are Mandatory Parking Zones

These are zones (purple) where parking in Designated Parking Zones is MANDATORY. If you do not park in a Designated Parking Zone you will not be able to end your ride.

2. Why do you charge a parking fee?

SCOOTY charges a parking fee to riders who park outside of Designated Parking Zones. The parking fee is an incentive to park in Designated Parking Zones and helps cover the costs of collecting and rebalancing vehicles outside parking zones.

3. How is the parking fee changing?

  • May 1st, 2026 - Non-compliance Parking Fee increased from $1 to $3
  • May 22nd, 2026 - Non-compliance Parking Fee increased from $3 to $5
  • June 11th, 2026 - Non-compliance Parking Fee replaced by Parking Penalty system

    4. What is the Parking Penalty System?

As of June 11, riders who do not park in Designated Parking Areas in Brampton are in violation of city rules. SCOOTY will introduce a Parking Penalty system which will place fines on riders who do not comply. Fines may increase for riders who repeatedly violate rules. Escalation can lead to being banned from the SCOOTY platform.
