I was overcharged or don't recognize a charge

If you notice a charge on your account that seems incorrect or unfamiliar, don't worry - there are a few common reasons this might happen, and we're here to help you sort it out.

Common Reasons for Unexpected Charges:
1. Parking Fee: If you ended your ride outside of a Designated Parking Zone (marked with a blue "P" on the app map), a parking convenience fee may have been applied.

2. Ride Exceeded Pass Limits: If you have a Ride Pass, charges beyond the included time are billed at the regular per-minute rate. For example, 30 Minute Ride Pass covers 30 minutes within 24 hours - any time beyond that is charged separately.

3. Authorization Hold: You may see a temporary $ hold on your account when starting a ride. This is not a charge - it's released once your ride is complete and the final amount is processed. Depending on your bank, it may take a few business days to disappear.

4. Group Ride Charges: If you started a group ride, you'll see charges for all vehicles in the group.

How to Review Your Charges:

1. Open the SCOOTY app

2. Tap the menu icon

3. Go to My Trips to view your ride history and receipts

If you've reviewed your trips and still believe there's an error, please submit a support ticket with your ride details and our team will review your account.
