Quick Fixes:
  1. Clean your phone camera lens — smudges can prevent scanning.
  2. Ensure there is good lighting, or use the flashlight option in the app.
  3. Hold your phone 6–8 inches away from the QR code.
  4. Make sure the entire QR code is visible in the camera frame.
  5. Keep your phone steady while scanning.

Check Your Camera Settings:
1. Go to your phone's Settings
2. Find the SCOOTY app
3. Make sure Camera permission is turned ON

Alternative: Manual Entry
If scanning still doesn’t work or the QR code is missing, you can unlock the vehicle by entering the code manually:

1. Look for the RS or RB number printed on the vehicle (usually near the QR code or on the stem)
2. In the app, tap the option to enter the code manually labelled “QR Code”
3. Enter the vehicle number manually
4. Tap to confirm and start your ride
Common Error Messages:“Invalid QR Code”
  • Make sure you’re scanning the QR code on the handlebars, not another sticker

“Vehicle is too far”
  • You must be within 40 metres of the vehicle
  • Walk closer and try again

“Vehicle unavailable”
  • The scooter may be reserved, low on battery, or scheduled for maintenance
  • Please find another available vehicle on the map
