Why is my vehicle slow?
If your SCOOTY seems to be moving slower than expected, there are a few common reasons. Here's what might be happening.

1. You're in a Slow-Speed Zone
SCOOTY vehicles automatically adjust speed based on your location:
• Yellow zones on the map: Speed limited to 15 km/h or less
• These zones include parks, trails, and high-pedestrian areas
• This is a safety feature, not a malfunction
Check the app map to see if you're in a slow-speed zone. Once you leave the zone, normal speed will resume.

2. Low Battery
When the battery is running low, the vehicle will automatically reduce speed to conserve power. Check the battery indicator in the app:
• If it's low, ride to the nearest Designated Parking Zone
• End your ride and start a new one on a vehicle with more charge

3. Near Service Area Boundary
As you approach the edge of the SCOOTY service area, the vehicle may slow down to discourage you from leaving the operating zone.

4. Approaching a Restricted Zone
The vehicle will slow down as you approach a no-ride zone before coming to a complete stop.

What to Do:
1. Check the app map for your current zone
2. Check the battery level
3. If neither explains it, try ending the ride and reporting the issue
If you believe the vehicle is malfunctioning, please end your ride and submit a support ticket with the vehicle number so our team can inspect it.
