Pausing your ride

Need to make a quick stop during your ride? You can pause your SCOOTY instead of ending it - perfect for running into a store or taking a break.

How to Pause Your Ride:
  1. Stop the vehicle in a safe location (not in a no-ride or no-park zone)
  2. Place the vehicle upright on the kickstand
  3. Make sure it's stable and won't fall over
  4. Open the SCOOTY app
  5. Tap the Pause button


    While Paused: 
    • You'll be charged a reduced pause rate
    • The vehicle remains reserved for you
    • No one else can unlock or use it


      How to Resume Your Ride:
      1. Return to your paused vehicle
      2. Open the SCOOTY app
      3. Tap the Continue button

                4. The vehicle will unlock and you can continue riding


          Ending a Paused Ride

          If your ride is currently paused and you decide you’re done riding:

          • You must resume (unpause) the ride first
          • Once the ride is active again, you can then end it normally in the app
          You cannot end a ride while it’s paused.
           
          Important Notes:
          • You cannot pause in restricted no-ride or no-park zones
          • If you pause for longer than 30 minutes, SCOOTY will automatically end your ride to conserve battery
          • When paused, don't block pathways or create obstacles for pedestrians
          • If you're stopping for a while, consider ending your ride and starting a new one later
