How to Start Your Ride:

1. Open the SCOOTY app and find an available vehicle on the map
NOTE: A green ring around the vehicle icon means full battery, yellow is medium, red is low
2. Walk to the vehicle and confirm it is available (a green light on the side of the scooter)
3. Tap Start Ride in the app
4. Scan the SCOOTY QR code, OR manually enter the vehicle ID number (RS number shown on the scooter, RB number shown on the e-bike)
NOTE: For e-scooters, use the SCOOTY QR on the vehicle's handlebars
5. Wait for the vehicle to unlock - you'll hear a beep and see the display light turn on

6. For E-Scooters: Push forward with one foot to get off the kickstand, stand on the scooter, push back with one foot to get rolling, then gently press the throttle to start safely

For e-Bikes: Flip the kickstand back, adjust the seat, and start pedalling
7. You're riding! The app will show your ride time and cost

Pro Tips:
  • Check the map in the app for slow-speed zones (yellow) and no-ride zones (red) before you go
  • The scooter requires a rolling start - it won't move from a standstill just by pressing the throttle
  • Secure your phone the built-in phone holder and charger to help you navigate safely during your trip
  • Use the turn signals on E-Scooters to indicate when you're turning and so people can hear you
  • Use the bell and your voice to let people know where you are
