Reserving a SCOOTY vehicle
Found a vehicle you want to ride but need a few minutes to get there? SCOOTY allows reserve of the vehicle, preventing others from starting a ride with it while you’re on your way.

How to Reserve a Vehicle:
1. Open the SCOOTY app
2. Find an available vehicle on the map
3. Tap on the vehicle icon
4. Select Reserve and confirm
5. The vehicle will be held for you for a limited time (typically 5 minutes)

While Reserved:
What Happens If You Don't Make It:
If the reservation timer expires before you scan the vehicle, the reservation will be cancelled and the vehicle will become available to others. You may need to reserve the vehicle again to keep it held for you.
- The vehicle is locked and cannot be used by anyone else
- You'll see a countdown timer showing how long you have to reach it
- Walk or make your way to the vehicle's location
What Happens If You Don't Make It:
If the reservation timer expires before you scan the vehicle, the reservation will be cancelled and the vehicle will become available to others. You may need to reserve the vehicle again to keep it held for you.
- Only reserve a vehicle you can reach within the time limit
- If you're already next to a vehicle, you don't need to reserve - just scan and ride
- Check the battery level before reserving to make sure it has enough charge for your trip
