Zone Types on the Map

Blue "P" Markers - Designated Parking Zones:
These are the approved spots to end your ride. Parking here is free and keeps the community happy.
Yellow Zones - Slow-Speed Zones:
Areas where the vehicle automatically slows to 15 km/h or less. You'll find these in parks, on trails, and in high-pedestrian areas. You can ride through these zones, just at a slower pace.
Red Zones - No-Ride Restricted Zones:
Areas where riding is not permitted. If you enter a red zone, your vehicle will gradually slow to a stop, the LED will flash red, and an alarm may sound. You'll need to walk the vehicle out of the restricted zone to continue.
Purple Zones - Mandatory Parking Zones:
Areas where parking is mandatory at designated parking zones. If you enter a purple zone, your vehicle will need to be parking at a designated parking zone (marked blue). The trip won’t end unless you’re parked at one of the designated parking zones within the mandatory parking zone.
Service Area Boundary:
The outer edge of the zone where SCOOTY operates. You must start and end your ride within this boundary. If you exit the service area, the motor will stop and you'll need to bring the vehicle back in.

Parking Rules:
  • Always end your ride at a Designated Parking Zone (blue "P") to avoid fees
  • Don't park in no-ride/no-park restricted areas
  • Never block sidewalks, doorways, wheelchair ramps, or pathways
  • Park on flat, paved surfaces with the kickstand down
  • In Brampton: Park next to bike racks, not in them

Checking Zones:
Before and during your ride, check the map in the SCOOTY app to see zones around you and plan your route accordingly. Use the built-in phone holder and charger to keep the map visible while riding.
