SCOOTY
Last Update hace 4 meses
Minimum Age:
You must be at least 16 years old to create a SCOOTY account and ride.
This requirement is based on:
• The Province of Ontario's micromobility rules and regulations
• Municipal bylaws in cities where SCOOTY operates
• Safety considerations for operating motorized vehicles
Helmet Requirements by Age:
• Riders under 18: Required by law to wear a helmet (Ontario Highway Traffic Act)
• Riders 18 and over: Helmets are strongly recommended but not legally required
Important Notes:
• You'll need to confirm your age when creating your account
• SCOOTY reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate age requirements
• If you're under 16, please do not attempt to create an account or ride
For Parents
If you have a teenager who meets the age requirement:
• Ensure they understand how to ride safely
• Make sure they have a helmet
• Review the app and safety guidelines with them
• Consider accompanying them on their first few rides
Why 16?
This age limit balances accessibility with safety. At 16, riders generally have the maturity and physical development to safely operate an e-scooter or e-bike in traffic and follow all applicable rules.
